Gordon Eckert is Freelance's owner and senior marketing-communications specialist.

In addition to being a graduate of NAIT's Business Administration program (1982) and Grant MacEwan Community College's Advertising & Public Relations program (1990), Gordon's experience in public relations, advertising, marketing and sales extends over 12 years. His career includes six years in retail sales and sales management as well as over six years specializing in public relations, advertising and business communications. This includes varied experience as a communications specialist working for such companies and organizations as AGT Limited, Alberta Transportation & Utilities and Western Economic Diversification Canada; and, of course, as owner and manager of Freelance itself.

Through the years he has served and contributed to the Edmonton communications community through the local chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators. This includes holding a number of leadership positions and chairing a number of volunteer committees.
